The lineup looks pretty solid this year with headliners Pearl Jam, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Costello, Van Morrison, Lionel Richie, Allman Brothers, Widespread Panic, etc, etc. I'm personally excited to get my soul sauce on with Aretha, Gil Scott Heron, Chocolate Milk, wow there are too many to write about.
As usual the fest stays true to its roots with tons of Louisiana and New Orleans Bands keepin in real.

Fact is I really have no clue and I'm exhausted.
Grrrrr A Saucy FESTIVALLLLLLLLLL Tuesday and no sleep tonight!
Who are your TBA predictions???
the who and macca are great thoughts, but you have to check roger daultry's schedule as he is on tour with clapton for some of the spring, however maybe both daultry and clapton will show?
ReplyDeletewhat about phish...they did the jazzfest thing once, they hit bonnaroo, had their own festival, new album and have been in the public eye since last year.
james taylor is reuninting his troubador band that includes carole king and they are performing songs from tapestry, james taylor and sweet baby james...they could most certainly be in the mix
steve windwood, bruce hornsby, stevie wonder and lou reed have all had busy years and certainly can fill a spot
elton has been quiet and so has billy joel, maybe it's time for some dueling pianos too?
csn(y) are always ready to rock the circuit as well
and for the most unlikely but way cool would be Prince
no idea on the TBA artist -- i never have had a good pulse on "popular" music. is Pavement set to get back together? ...i will say i'm definitely looking forward to the not-a-surprise-anymore sunrise set by Zack Teibloom & the Four Lokos!
ReplyDeleteI'm most hoping for a classic rock giant (Paul, Clapton, The Who, The Stones, CSN) but I'd love Phish or Prince just as much. Any of those 6 would be incredible.
